Hi, I’m Leen and I lead the ATÖLYE Creative Hub in Dubai. I’m a designer by trade, founder by chance, and connector by nature. I grew up in Beirut, studied in New York, and have been in Dubai for the last 6+ years. I have a knack for bringing the right people together and watching the magic unfold.
Leen joined ATÖLYE in 2019 as a Senior Lead to launch the Creative Hub in Dubai. With a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design and a masters in Design Entrepreneurship, Leen has over 12 years of experience in design, startups and community-building.
After a student project went unexpectedly viral, she decided to take the entrepreneurial leap and quit her agency job in New York to move to Dubai where she launched her company THIS Toothbrush, a line of products that modernizes an ancient natural toothbrush called the miswak.
Leen has always been passionate about bringing people together with a purpose—whether through elaborate dinner parties or intimate gatherings. She formerly served as the VP of AIGA Middle East, and is a founding member of a growing global community called Afikra, which aims to cultivate curiosity around Arab history and culture through monthly events. She is also an active member of the Sandbox network, a group of doers and makers who push the boundaries of community building.
In her free time, she loves cooking for friends and planning trips. You can often find her dancing her way through a spinning class (or on an actual dance floor). She is on a mission to become a regular meditator, and is pretty convinced she’s allergic to karaoke.
