Alican  joined ATÖLYE in 2020 as Senior Lead for Operations and Program Management at ATÖLYE Dubai. His work focuses on establishing the Project and Operations (PrOps) team for, building new client relationships in the UAE, managing ongoing projects under SDS and bringing previous know-how to ATÖLYE.  

Alican has an undergraduate degree from the Department of Economics, Istanbul University, and an Executive MBA degree from Boğaziçi University.

His professional career started as Corporate Banking Management Trainee at HSBC Bank A.Ş where he worked for three and a half years. After HSBC, he joined Dogus Retail Group as their Finance Specialist for the Crate and Barrel brand (including the brand’s activities in Turkey, and Russia.) In June 2016, he was promoted to become the Treasury Manager at Shared Services at Retail Group. This new position expanded his portfolio to include: Crate and Barrel, Armani, Gucci, Loro Piana, Under Armour, and Kiko Milano.

During his Executive MBA, he decided to change his career and joined Fjord Istanbul in 2017 as a Program Manager; in 2019 he transferred to Fjord Dubai as Senior Program Manager. He has worked with clients from Telco, Oil & Gas, Financial Services and Aviation industries. Besides being a Program Manager he was also involved in Studio Managements tasks such as resourcing, recruiting, budgeting, creating the scope of projects, and culture development. He is also a certified Scrum Master.
