ATÖLYE is a community-powered creative services organization. Through strategy and design, we help organizations tackle complex challenges and create lasting impact.

Our teams of strategists, designers, and community builders work with a range of impact-focused partners including companies, academic institutions, NGOs, and governments.

 

At the same time, ATÖLYE identifies as a “community.” Our members, who are designers, thought leaders, and experts, get to collaborate with ATÖLYE on the projects we take on. Our community is also our source of inspiration and learning; aspiring to connect, learn, and grow around purpose-driven work.

In 2019, ATÖLYE joined kyu (kyu.com), a collective of the leading creative organizations in the world whose purpose is to be a source of creativity that propels the economy and society forward. Also among the collective are leading organizations such as BEworks, C2, Gehl, Godfrey Dadich, IDEO, Kepler, Public Digital, RedPeak, Sid Lee, and SYPartners.

Main Responsibilities

Technology Operations:

  • Lead the systemic design, development, implementation, and evolution of ATÖLYE OS, the integrated, modular in-house digital system, one without its own dedicated software, and is composed of different digital tools (financial planning, resource management, CRM, HRIS, MIS, etc.), which forms the backbone of ATÖLYE’s business operations

Systems Design and Business Process Streamlining & Optimization

  • Lead the ongoing enhancement, optimization, and documentation of ATÖLYE’s overarching workflows and business processes in close collaboration with other function leaders, to identify and address areas of efficiency improvement and to ensure that the ATÖLYE’s ‘operational backbone’ is both strong and flexible enough to support the organization in its rapid expansion in new markets


Venue Operations

  • Oversee the operations, maintenance, and -as needed- enhancement of ATÖLYE’s hubs in Istanbul Bomontiada and Dubai Emirates Towers to ensure ATÖLYE’s community members and guests (for hub-hosted events) have smooth, seamless, memorable experiences

Legal & Administrative Operations

Lead the design, implementation, execution, and ongoing optimization of ATÖLYE’s legal-, supplier- and other administration-related workflows in close collaboration with other function leaders in the organization



Requirements


  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with ideally a background in startup (COO type of role), or leading Business Operations in larger organizations

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing cross-functional priorities

  • Proficiency in streamlining lean processes and solving complex problems

  • Having a proactive mindset and being an analytical thinker

  • Being an excellent communicator

  • Willingness to initiate changes, introduce new ideas and manage communication between different functions

  • High proficiency in English

  • Multi-geo / international experience is preferred
