Sr. Interaction Designer
Hi! My name is Erdem. I’m an interaction designer at ATOLYE. I have been interested in projects, always at the intersection of design, technology, and storytelling. I’m focusing on the product design and development fields by combining my design and engineering skills.
Erdem joined ATÖLYE in 2018 as a contractor for a large-scale finance project. Right after having finished the project, he started to work as a full-time team member at ATÖLYE. He is focusing on the product design field by combining his design and engineering skills.
After and during his design study at İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi, he had a chance to work with industry leaders such as Turkcell, Turkish Airlines, Coca-Cola, BNP Paribas. In these projects, he worked as an interaction designer and visual designer. One of the things he likes about working in the design industry is challenging to break a new ground every day for organizations from a variety of fields.
In his perspective, a good design unfolds itself as a new “thing” when theory and practice in strong interrelation. Because of that, he is still working on conquering the design-related/unrelated subjects to see the whole. In parallel with this idea, he started to work on a theoretical project in early 2020 namely the “Antidisciplinary Project”. This project is about being between–or beyond–disciplines as a creative person. He is still mapping creative skills and interrelations and seeking the “creative ethos” in history by the archeological method.
