About the speaker:

Born in 1983, Ege Soley graduated from Italian High School in Istanbul and the University of Kent at Canterbury, England. After her education in political science, Italian and Spanish, she moved to Paris and became an apprentice in a flower shop and at the same time studied floral art and botanical studies for four years. In 2011 she opened her flower shop in Istanbul, Ege Soley Event & Corporate Flowering, and in 2015 she started Slow Public, a design shop selling design objects, tableware and accessories only made by Turkish women designers. While continuing both her careers, she wrote her first book ‘Sakin’ in 2019, that became a best-seller, made of short essays about slow living. ‘Yakın’, her second book was launched in July 2020.
