“Evdeki Yaratıcılar” – Creators at Home, brings together new discoveries with former guests, focusing on the creative processes, inspiration and personal stories of artists and designers in the period of pandemic and social isolation.

 

The twelfth guest of the series is artist Gökhan Yücel. Gökhan Yücel was born in Izmir in 1980. He moved to Bodrum with his family in 1984 and lived there until the university. After graduating from Anadolu University Communication Arts department, he started to work as a copywriter in TBWA/Istanbul. Gökhan Yücel, who received many awards at locally and internationally, had the opportunity to work with important creative directors such as John Hunt at TBWA/HUNT LASCARIS in South Africa and Thirasak Tanapatanakul at Creative Juice/G1 in Thailand. Gökhan Yücel worked as the creative director at McCann Istanbul. In 2009, he founded his own agency Fikret. The agency, which produces creative works for more than 20 countries, still continues its project-based initiatives.

 

Producing work in different creative disciplines such as comics, short films and computer games, Yücel has also been running Anatolian Rock Revival Project since 2014, which focuses on protecting Turkey’s musical cultural heritage.
