Being lost is the collaboration between possibility and uncertainty. CreativeMornings November theme is “Lost”, and our guest speaker is chef Maksut Aşkar.
Born in Iskenderun, Maksut Aşkar studied tourism and hospitality for 9 years, while training in culinary arts to excel in management. During his school life, he worked in different establishments such as Q Jazz Club and Emporio Armani Cafe, as well as managing different venues such as Nupera. He was a consultant for different brands while also organizing food design events. He was a manager of the restaurant “Sekizİstanbul”, and most recently he opened “Neolokal” in SALT Galata, where he offers unique Turkish food with an artistic, minimal and modern twist. Neolokal defines itself as timeless, constantly in renewal as they continue their path and learning from the past. For Neolokal, the past comprises of tradition and lost cultures.
